Pretty Little Liars' Style Secrets Revealed!

The cast of ABC Family's hit series Pretty Little Liars "smizes" for the camera on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. Shay Mitchell, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, and Lucy Hale are all featured in the March 1 issue focusing on how the teen mystery drama exploded into a cultural phenomenon.
Just like its ever-twisting plot, there are also plenty of secrets involved behind-the-scenes of Pretty Little Liars. Costume designer Mandi Line even spilled some surprising facts about the show's fashion to EW. First off, while the cast's wardrobe often looks like it came straight from the runways, the costume department picks out pieces from regular mall stores such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Guess Marciano, Zara, and Bebe. Line also reveals which of the four young leads is the most difficult to dress.
“[Troian's] difficult because she has the best taste in real life," she says. Line also describes Hale as the most oblivious to fashion ("That's not her thing") and Shay as the business-minded one. According to Line, Ashley is most like her character on the show.
“I had a talk [with Ashley],” she adds. “I said, ‘People are going to come to you and want you to be the ambassador for their line.’ She’s like, ‘Really? Me? Fashion?’ Now she’s the face of Bongo.”
